There's nothing quite like the anticipation and energy that comes when two rival high schools are pitted against each other on the football field. Is there anything that can possibly match - or even top - the fervor of feuding football rivals? There's only one answer: the fight over donating canned goods. Each year, area High School football rivals compete against each other in the 6 Shares High School Football Challenge food drive. Schools have been paired up to see who can collect the most food and monetary donations for Second Harvest Food Bank throughout the fall. Sponsors of the Football Challenge include, Kroger Co., DIY Network, WATE TV6, and Star 102.1 fm.
